Therapist (FAIA) (Rathgeber Village Campus)
SAFE Alliance seeks a Therapist (FAIA) for the Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention Services in the Therapeutic Services department. This position focuses on providing individual, child and family or group services either: in person in the office or in the home, video and telephone therapeutic services and parent coaching and consultation with the foster parents/family unit. The Therapist (FAIA) will provide clinical support and insight to the Foster and Adopt in Austin program staff and provide as needed training on trauma informed topics to foster parents.

Position Details:
We are looking for one person to work on a full-time, exempt basis for an annual salary of $60,420 to $63,600 dependent upon experience and an additional annual language differential of $3,600 for those who are English/Spanish bilingual. The work location will be based at our Rathgeber Village Campus in the Mueller area. This position will include some travel in the community or between campuses and will allow for some remote/hybrid work. This position currently requires you to participate in an On-Call schedule/rotation as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Possess a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field required.
- Licensed in the State of Texas as LMSW, LCSW, LPC-Associate or LPC, LMFT or LMFT-Associate.
- At least one year of experience working in foster care system role strongly preferred.
- At least one year of experience providing therapy services to children and/or adolescents and families strongly preferred.
- Training and experience using Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) preferred; TBRI practitioner certification strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of foster care system.
- Ability to problem solve under pressure and defuse crises, as well as effectively manage multiple and/or changing priorities; including suicide screening/assessment and de-escalation strategies.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Sensitivity to various ethic, social and cultural backgrounds.
- Impeccable integrity and judgement; ability to both inspire and trust.
- Competent use of Microsoft Office and other Microsoft Suite products.
- With reasonable accommodation, this position requires the manual dexterity to sufficiently operate phones, computers, and other office equipment, there is significant computer work is required.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately to convey information using the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- The ability to work evenings and weekends, as it is required.
- Visual acuity capable of drafting, editing, reviewing, and /or comprehending materials in a standard typeface size 10 font or above, are required.
- Be capable of sitting and standing for extended periods of time, as well as be able to intermittently push, pull, or lift 20+ lbs. of force.
- Regular travel between organization locations.
- This position requires driving. You must have a valid, State of Texas Driver’s License (If in possession of an out-of-state license, obtain a State of Texas Driver’s License within 90 days of beginning employment.) AND at least three (3) consecutive years of driving experience OR one (1) year of driving experience if over 27 years of age AND an acceptable driving record that covers at least the last three years of driver history.
- Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check if applicable), as well as a pre-employment drug screen and TB test, if applicable.
