The SAFE Alliance exists to stop abuse for everyone by serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and trafficking, and domestic violence. We are dedicated to ending violence through prevention, advocacy, and comprehensive services for individuals, families, and communities that have been affected by abuse.
Why Work at SAFE: Quotes From Our Staff
“Instead of becoming complacent and accepting violence as a part of life, we are championing individuals who have systematically been silenced, and teaching people how to live and love without violence.” - Anonymous SAFE staff member
"I like working at SAFE because… SAFE is a survivor led agency and that translates to those we serve. SAFE has the energy to challenge harmful systems, bias, legislature and where we as an agency can grow and learn to better serve the community." - Allison Susin
SAFE Programs & People
Having over 30 programs that provide for various needs from housing to teen parenting programs across all the greater Austin metroplex; our teams are not only a reflection of the diverse nature of the work we do, but are also reflective of the representation of clients and communities we serve. We invite our staff to look and show up differently, in whatever way is most authentic to themselves within our policy limits. Some people rock t-shirts and jeans, some prefer pencil skirts or button-downs while others wear bright, colorful pieces. SAFE employs all types of folx. Some employees want to join every company social opportunity while others drive straight home after their workday. Some of our staff have been at SAFE for over 15 years, some are just getting started. We encourage our staff to be who they are, as they are, as we all have the same mission in mind: Stop Abuse for Everyone.
In the past two years, our community outreach and education programming has provided over 400 trainings to over 7,000 community members. Our various housing and shelter programs have provided over 46,000 nights/days of care and served over 3,000 youth and adults directly affected by abuse. We have also provided over 10,000 callers/chats/texts and walk-in advocacy and crisis intervention or face-to-face emotional support through our 24/7 confidential SAFEline. No matter what your role at SAFE Alliance you will make a difference, because together we can stop abuse for everyone.
