Housekeeper (All SAFE Campuses)
SAFE Alliance seeks a Housekeeper for the General Operations Program in the Operations department. This position often works independently and may have to travel between campuses. They will be required to perform tasks which involve exposure to various cleaning solvents and should be aware of MSDS guidelines when working with these solvents.

In the past two years, our community outreach and education has provided over 400 trainings to over 7,000 community members. Our various housing and shelter programs have provided over 46,000 nights/days of care and served over 3,000 youth and adults directly affected by abuse. We have provided over 10,000 callers/chats/texts, walk-in advocacy and crisis interventions or face-to-face emotional support through our 24/7 confidential SAFEline.

Position Details:
We are looking for one person to work on a full-time, non-exempt basis for an hourly salary of $20.00 to $22.00 dependent upon experience. The work location will be based at all major SAFE Alliance Campuses in the Austin metroplex. This position will include some travel in the community or between campuses with no ability for remote/hybrid work. The shift currently available is early morning business hours.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in cleaning and janitorial duties is required.
- Familiarity with the use and safe storage of household cleaning solvents and the ability to work with cleaning agents and other chemicals is required.
- Experience working in residential facilities are highly preferred but not required.
- High School Diploma or GED are highly preferred but not required.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately to convey information using the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Must have basic keyboard and computer skills, experience with e-mail and the ability to learn the agency help desk ticket system.
- Strong organizational abilities and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Frequently required reach with hands and arms, and to use fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Capable of carrying 25lbs regularly and able to intermittently push, pull, or lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability to climb 6' and 8' ladders.
- This position requires driving. You must have a valid, State of Texas Driver's License (If in possession of an out-of-state license, obtain a State of Texas Driver's License within 90 days of beginning employment.) AND at least three (3) consecutive years of driving experience OR one (1) year of driving experience if over 27 years of age AND an acceptable driving record that covers at least the last three years of driver history.
- Ability to drive an agency vehicle to various campus buildings across town.
- This position requires the employee be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check if applicable), as well as a pre-employment drug screen and TB test, if applicable.
