Housekeeper (Community Shelter Campus)
SAFE Alliance seeks a Housekeeper for the Residential & Support Services Program in the Family & Community Shelter department. The Shelter Housekeeper will also assist with other operations within the shelter building such as cleaning client rooms for clients who have exited the program, ensuring the immediate area in front of shelter remains free from clutter, cleaning communal spaces and stocking of essential supplies. This position is required to perform tasks which involve exposure to various cleaning solvents and should be aware of MSDS guidelines when working with these solvents.

Position Details:
We are looking for one person to work on a full-time, non-exempt basis for an hourly salary of $21.60 dependent upon experience. The work location will be based at our new Community Shelter Campus in the Pecan Springs-Springdale area. This position will include no travel in the community or between campuses with no ability for remote/hybrid work. The shift currently available is Monday through Friday 8am-4pm shift.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in cleaning and janitorial duties. Experience working in residential facilities preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with the use and safe storage of household cleaning solvents. Able to work with cleaning agents and other chemicals as needed.
- Ability to perform physical labor generally associated with general maintenance. Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks that require agility and manual dexterity.
- Must be able to climb ladders and be able to physically use ladders to reasonable height.
- Ability to lift twenty-five (25) pounds regularly with some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required with occasional lifting or moving heavy materials in difficult work positions.
- Ability to read and write English, and effectively and professionally communicate and understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to utilize computers for word processing and email (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook)
- Maintain appropriate boundaries when working with shelter residents and staff. Maintain confidentiality, neutrality, and professionalism in role.
- Multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent organizational abilities and effectively manage multiple priorities and adjust to organizational needs with flexibility and resiliency.
- Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.
- The demands described are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and read, talk or hear. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
- Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check if applicable), as well as a pre-employment drug screen and TB test, if applicable.
